I made this pitcher plant for TheRagingSloth in the carnivorous plant swap. The piece is made with wool felt, cotton fabric, batik fabric, seed beads, floral wire, pipe cleaners, acrylic paint, and a wooden box. It is mostly hand-sewn, although the leaves were machine-stitched. I had so much fun making this piece. If I ever have a free moment again I need to make one for myself.

Wow. Straight out of the rain forest! It is gorgeous. I love all the details like the yellow flower and the pipe cleaner tendrils - and of course the poor mouse.  I hope he managed to escape.

Ha. Ha. Ha.

But really, thanks everyone! Wink Not sure if I'd leave the pipe cleaners bare again. I had wanted to cover them but just was not going to have the time. I like having to make decisions like that in the eleventh hour because sometimes unintended results can turn out really interestingly.

Aaah~ you know I love this beautiful piece. I keep calling it a "she" umm... I just feel very connected to it.  Cheesy I think some of my favorite parts are how it's hollow, the unique square shape of the whole piece, and the fun textures of the scrunched up ribbons and things.
