My mom found a brother riviera 1681 on the side of the road. I notice that the tension assembly does not have 2 tension discs like most sewing machines. Also, I notice that the tension assembly can come apart easily. The tension assembly only have take up spring, indicator, tension spring , stop washer and the dial. I was wondering if is possible that the sewing machine is missing the tension discs or does this sewing machine not have tension discs? It would be helpful if someone who has a brother riviera 1681 take a close up picture of the tension assembly. I can post picture if that would help.

I think I solve my own question. When I asked this question, I looked at the tension more closely and notice that the parts of the tension are in the wrong order.
I also make a mistake when naming the parts when I wrote indictor it was actually the thread guide and when I wrote stop motion it was actually the indictor.
I figure out that the thread guide and indictor is also serving as the tension dics.
