One of my friends recently had her first child, and as they were decorating the nursery in a rainbow theme, I thought a nyan cat would be a perfect gift! But I was really worried about the baby pulling off a tail or a leg and eating it or something (you can tell I know next to nothing about children) so instead of an amigurumi I made this pillow plushie kinda thing. It was easy to make, although time consuming as I did everything in single crochet to prevent stuffing leakage. I broke down the nyan cat into simple shapes and then just sewed them all together.

The little blushy cheeks are probably my favourite part ^___^

The back is covered in this lovely soft minky dot fleece. Hopefully this can be something that the baby can enjoy now as well as in years to come! ^___^
