Hi guys,
I make little notebooks out to Magic the Gathering cards. I'm trying to find an adhesive that will bind the cards together. Glue gun glue doesn't work, Elmer's group doesn't work, crazy glue is so messy for the job (I'm very clumsy!) and rubber cement sets off my asthma Sad. I also need to bind the paper to the cards and pieces of ribbon to the cards. Magic cards are very slick, similar to playing cards but untextured. Any help would be very appreciated!

http://www.thistothat.com/ helps figure out what kind of glue you need for a project.

Have you tried thick tacky glue?  That grabs better than white glue--hot glue is junk, really only for throw-away crafts.

If the cards aren't too thick/heavy, double-side tape might work.

sanding or scoring the area to be glued would make for a more secure connection

Thanks you! I'll try the glue, and I never even thought of tape! I actually looked at this to that before and it seemed mostly just paper, instead of the smooth card stock I'm using. I will definitely give your suggestions a try! Smiley

What about a glue runner - like what they use for card making or paper crafting.  You can get it in thin 1/4" lines.  If you are adhering elements to pages/cards, I would also go with permanent glue dots - you can get them in very small sizes.

This may be too strong of adhesive but i know that http://univfoam.com/related-sites/coatings-and-adhesives has a list of companies that sell adhesives. They may have what your looking for. Smiley

Some suggestions.
ATG gun.  Strong adhesive that is easy to get up to the edges.
Use a xyron machine with permanent adhesive.  The entire surface will be covered.
Red liner tape.  So strong.
Book binding adhesive.

Hope you find just the right one.
