Would anyone out there be interested in another poppet vs ami swap?

I absolutely love love quilts, do you think an afghan is a fair trade for a quilt? I'd love to swap!

I have missed the ones in the past, and I can do ami but not poppet worth a darn, yet have always wanted one. Wonder if we could strike up interest!?

We crocheters/knitters of Amis are always up for this swap. Poppeteers are too but not as much, they're the ones we have to find and convince.....any Poppeteers wanna play??  Grin

I don't like poppets, but, I can make one.  I would be over the moon to get a large knitted/crocheted turtle.  This is the link:   http://www.pinterest.com/pin/131941464057960986/
Or, there are plenty of other knitted/crocheted animals I would LOVE to have!

That's a HUGE turtle alright.
I can do ami's, but not poppets.  I was in one of these swaps several years ago.

Yes, I was in an ami swap years ago (so much fun - made a purple people eater!) but have missed out on the poppet vs ami swaps every time. I wonder if the poppeteers would prefer a small poppet vs ami swap as I think the regular sized ones are pretty large and I know shipping can be pricy when things are stuffed (ami or poppet for that matter).
I would say it would be fun to go ahead and make this swap happen, but as I have no idea about how this works...um, what do you do if you end up with more ami people signing up than poppeteers? Huh  If someone else with more experience wants to start this swap, I would be happy to help co organize, but not organize. (I have another swap in August that I have already committed to organizing)

I would be willing to make a regular size poppet.  I think it's actually easier to make a regular size poppet as a mini poppet.  Turning is easier.

What you can do if more people sign up on one side is hold the lesser side until they even up or even ask the more side if anyone would be willing to take on 2 partners.  I could maybe organize it but not for a few weeks.

I would be willing to take on 2 partners.  I'll sign up when this swap opens.
