Whoa!  This is possibly the best bag I've ever seen.  I love the contrasting fabrics you used and your updates on the pattern.  I think I'm in love. Smiley

Thanks, everyone!!  Grin

Beautiful bag! Great job on it. How would you rate the difficulty of it? beginner, intermediate, expert?

Do you print the pattern pieces?

Lique, I would say maybe intermediate. There were some tricky bits that were made harder because I used lots more interfacing than the pattern called for, so it was tough to sew through some of the layers. It would have been way easier if I had used the recommended interfacing, but I like things to be super sturdy.

Also, I just bought the pdf from the seller on Etsy and printed it on my home computer. She shows you where to tape pieces together since some pieces are larger than printer paper.
Wow, you are super talented!  Did you give it to her yet?

Yes, and she loved it!  Cheesy She does a lot of traveling on weekends and specifically asked for a bag that could just fit one or two pairs of clothes and some extra things if necessary. She really liked the fabric combo, but I picked the fabric based on a long wishlist. They weren't exact fabrics she asked for, but they were the right color and theme.

As an extra plus, her new boyfriend was even impressed!

[edited to answer additional question for Lique]

Love that bag but I am way to scared to attempt piping! LOL. I will just stare and admire yours.  Wink

Thanks! Honestly, the piping is pretty screwed up because I didn't do the fabric in the right direction when I cut it (but I didn't want to waste too much extra yardage by cutting diagonally). The curves are kinda twisted and puckered a lot. Perfection is over-rated though Wink It was my first try and it came out good enough. I would definitely encourage just trying it on a pillow case lining or something simple. I should have experimented first.
