I don't need no instructions to know how to rock.

I made this for the One Tiny Surprise Thing Swap, Round 2.  The box base is three inches.

The thread/thimble on the "wall" is a glossy scrapbook paper image that I cut out and layered on top of some other scrapbook paper.

The bunting flags are washi tape and chipboard letters.

The fuzzy/flocked dots are a package of brads that I repurposed.  I scuffed up the paint a little to keep with the vintage-y type feeling.

The basket is a button.  I made "yarn" balls out of embroidery floss, and added some headpins for knitting needles.

The flower button allows it to stand on its own (or it can hang with the loop on the top).  The lady was cut out of a vintage Japanese magazine for "housewives."  She was originally going to be on the front, but I changed directions.  I thought she would still be a fun extra surprise on the back, though!

I really like how it turned out, and I almost kept it for myself!  Cheesy

Ooh so teeny tiny. My favourite bit is the yarn balls with the nails, very cute!

I am in love with this piece!! If I made it, I would also be very very reluctant to mail it off. but hey now you know how to do it and can make your very own!!  What an awesome job you did. Thanks so much for posting lots of pics that we did not see in the swap gallery.

Thanks for the kind words!  I hope to make something similar for my craft room when we move.  I wish I would have picked up some more of the boxes while they were on clearance!
