We haven't been doing too much, except watching a ton of cheesy SyFy movies in preparation for... Sharknado 2!!!  It premiers in about half an hour, and we'll be glued to the screen.

In the meantime, we're re-watching Sharknado, and playing with the Go Shark Yourself app...

Mr. Toast and I are in a Pacific Northwest trip. I don't have a computer so I can't upload any photos from my camera, but I'll have a few pics to share next week!

Managed to get into town with my mum today, with my hubby taking a day off to look after the twins.

Harper had a fab time, met some interesting people, and she's tried a bit of my mum's "Kilo pot of mussels" with Blue cheese and Bacon sauce. Seems she liked it. I think she winked.. Wink

I've been AWOL for a little while, but I was on vacation! First Damson and I visited my friend Beth, who is making all the GoT cosplay pieces for NY Comic Con...

The dress is NEARLY finished... just a few more little things need to be done, and I had to get out of there to come home for the next part of my trip, so it'll have to wait until later this month...

That's the Blue Devils, the number one corps in DCI (Drum Corps International) for right now. We saw them at the show in Charlotte AND the show in Salem, VA.

Damson's been participating in some interesting activities!  I love cosplay and I bet Damson was fascinated to watch the construction process.  Smiley

The vest I bought Marty refuses to be altered to our liking so it's getting scrapped and we ordered some new duds for him to take home.

Sorry I have been out of touch for so long - we were away last week and then my Grandma had a stroke this week - so I have barely been online! It looks like all the little visitors are having a wonderful time especially kahiki - funky that she got photos with hawaiins!

We went to Derbyshire to stay with a couple of friends of ours - and Milo had a wonderful times seeing all the sites as did we!!

On the first day we were there we went panning for gems - which he really enjoyed (amongst other things but dont want to give too much away!)

on the second day we went to carsington waters which is a big lake / resevoir with a fun visitor centre:

on the last day we went to a town called Bakewell - where Bakewell tarts come from and had a cake and drink in the shop which first produced the Bakewell tart:

we did a lot more on holiday, but I want to keep some of it a surprise for the album!

tomorrow we are going to the sea side for the day with my mother in law - then out for a meal so I will get some photos there - we still have a trip to the zoo planned too amongst other things.

I now have an Etsy shop selling my genuine gemstone wirework jewellery - Pretty Twisted Gems

So....bad news. Yesterday morning, on his way to work, my husband got into a serious car accident. HE'S OK. But the car is totaled. Needless to say, things are a little hectic and stressful right now. And of course, we're also down a vehicle until we can figure out financing and shopping for a new one. So we definitely won't be doing a lot that's terribly interesting or outings in the immediate future. Undecided

There's more info if you're curious in my personal blog here: http://giveneyestosee.com/blog/2014/08/the-day-the-element-died/

Just wanted to give a head's up. He's ok, I'm ok (I wasn't part of it) and Piper is ok. But the car...not so much.
