So jealous of those Disney-visiting LVs!
But I received a postcard from Jay yesterday, which was a great surprise.  (And also really funny, because Buttercup picked up a postcard to send home just the other day, but hasn't had a chance to mail it!)

Buttercup and I are off to go out to breakfast.

Mr. Toast might be helping me to cut the grass today. He's volunteered to help me put the new mower together, so we'll see if he's willing to help use the mower after that!

Oooh excellent, I wish he was so helpful when he's at home!! Wink  Perhaps you're domesticating him!

Burton and I have been into Cheltenham today for a little shopping and sightseeing, he's tuckered out now so he's snoozing!

I'm glad Burton is getting out and about!

Mr. Toast was very helpful with the mower assembly, but decided it was too hot and sunny to help with the actual mowing (he didn't want to get a sunburn).

Here he is, helping to unpack the mower (and he was very careful when using the box cutter, too!):

And then he used the wrench to help attach the handle:

I think he was feeling pretty manly after that (although not manly enough to help with the mowing!). I came in after cutting the grass to find him sitting on the sofa, watching sports!

Boy, Mr. Crab sure gets around!

Blue Bubun went on some multi-state adventures today (MD-DC-MD-VA-MD-VA-MD), although within a relatively small radius. He visited the Maryland-side Fort Foote and climbed in the giant Rodman guns

He hung out on the fishing pier in the Potomac

And he made some new friends at the National Colonial Farm

More pics on his blog!

Today Kahiki came with me to my local weekly farmers market.  There was an unusually large crowd, though, so she stayed tucked away safe while I visited my favorite stands.  Once back home we did a little photo shoot, with Kahiki playing hide and seek among the produce

The rest of my Sunday grocery shopping is done at Trader Joes, where today I got a little loaf of delicious olive bread, and we decided to use some of that bouquet of basil to make bruschetta.  Kahiki (wearing the lei po'o [head lei] I made for her) was intrigued by a rolling garlic chopper

and enjoyed the aroma of basil as it was being cut

The final product of our work was yummy!

Ooo I'm loving kahikis head lei! She was no doubt fascinated by the garlic roller as she knows how much my husband and I love garlic, but we have never seen anything like that!

The finished product looks delicious, I hope she is keeping track of the recipes!!

Unfortunately I have been poorly over the weekend so we did not get to go on our cinema trip, but we will do so soon.

He will definitely be meeting more of the family this week!
