O-o-o-o I received a wonderful box in the mail today. One Tiny Surprise from blupaisan. I have always been a fan of blu's tiny little details and tiny little drawings and tiny little wonders.

Today's treasure was a matchbox condo. Three floors of teeny stuff. Little Bunny Betty is an artist (and a little blown glass bunny). Her kitchen is a bright shade of spring green with glittery stripes, portraits of famous people or patrons (so detailed and small), a stove, table and chairs and more. The stairs lead up to a living space with books and treasures on the shelf, a couch and a lovely rug. Bunny Betty is ready to ascend the that ladder leads to her studio,  a paint spattered room with, works of art and even a sink to wash out brushes after a painting session. A tiny paint palette and brush lay ready on the table.

The outside of the building is a real blueprint, a little door and windows with flower boxes. I simply love it and will be clearing a space on my curio shelf. Thank you so much blu!

Whoa, that really puts the tiny in Tiny Swap!  I don't know how people can make such itty-bitty things, wish I could, though!

here is a shot of the paint-splattered studio floor.

and my favorite element on the first floor,

the hat rack made from a sewing notion (those hook and eye thingies) but maybe my other fave is the teeny tiny shell used as a vase.

I did those darn stairs 3 times and they never did succeed! I would love some advice, as I want to do another one of these little matchbox houses. I tried lots of glue, I tried deep scoring, I tried a sturdy stick to which it could be fastened. My left thumb does not exactly work and this did have something to do with it, but there has to be a method I have not yet approached short of constructing each individual step out of wood. I wanted to get the feel of a truly open stairway.

I don't know...I really liked the little sink in the studio and the couch in the living room. Also the curtains on the windows on the outside of the building. So very cool. I'm sure I will find even more little details as I look at it. I am in awe of your fine detail work. I'm all thumbs at that size, so I admire the skill to work at that size. And, since I don't work at that size, I get to get wonderful things in the mail! So thank you again. And again. And again. I love getting things from you, Blu.
