Would anyone be interested in a Sylvanian Families/Calico Critters swap? I collect them, and love making tiny little things for them so thought it would be fun to swap some of these with other people.

Clothes, customised furniture, accessories, even customised figures if anyone is feeling ambitious! There are lots of possibilities Smiley

I would be happy to be the organiser, but this would be my first time organising so if anyone would be willing to co-organise with me that would be much appreciated Smiley

Hmmm, they look cute on the photo. Do you have a link to any other info on them, like a pattern etc. Are they made in other fabrics as well or just calico, how tall are they?

They're actually ready-made figures - they're plastic with a light covering of flocking which makes them lovely and soft. The adult figures are about 4 inches tall, the children 3 inches and the babies only 1 inch! There are lots of different sets that go with them - houses, furniture, shop sets, sets of homeward items and leisure equipment... anything you could want, it's probably been made in Sylvanian form!

Here's the wikipedia page about them: http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CCcQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fen.m.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FSylvanian_Families&ei=hIVLU4-VCK6g7Aau34GYCQ&usg=AFQjCNERo5GFdK5Gt1JznHkhGeYLx5v65w&sig2=Ut0TzhrXGgZrAEqsTv-1kA

I would like to do this swap. And theres heaps of patterns online for clothing and people could make other things like food, suitcases, books. etc

I sorta remember playing with some of them when I was a kid, but I didn't even know they were still around. I would be interest in taking part in this swap and starting a collection could you play add a link where I can buy them.  Smiley
