Needed two gifts for friends who have invited us for meals during Passover. So for under $15.00 I made these two packages.

Got plain wooden and resin cooking tools and painted them in three colors (red for meat, blue for dairy and green for parve). Then took plain burlap canvases and painted the surname initial with a stripe and embellished it with a flower. Wrapped them in a new dish towel tied with a bow and card and done.

Now all they need are pretty gift bags. Smiley Thank you for checking them out.

If you bring gifts this nice, you're invited to all of my parties!! These are pretty and functional! I really like the idea of color coding the spoons too.

How thoughtful to take homemade hostess gifts to dinner.  I usually just buy a bottle of wine.  Yours is much nicer!

What lovely hostess gifts! I'm sure you will get more party invites as your reputation as a crafty gift-giver grows. Cheesy

I love the thoughtfulness that went into these gifts.  Painting the wooden spoon handles to color code them for specific foodtypes will certainly speed up prep time and help with kosher-ing.  Everyone will appreciate that.   The canvases are charming.
