My faux stained glass pictures.

My inspiration was one of my pins. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/84020349272296021/  I tried cutting pop cans and just ended up with bloody fingers!! I was kinda disappointed then I saw all my recycling and I got a great idea!!!! (of course it was one of those thinking thinking about what I could do for this challenge) I thought yes I can  do that with paper and plastic!!! Yea I got so excited.

I started with many empty containers.
I painted a cake board I got from work black.

I sat in front of the DVR and cut tissue boxes... have a number of them cause of a head cold.. into the squares that became the "frame" .

First I placed the squares on the board thinking I would cut the pieces to fit like Jill Helms my  inspiration art but I just glued the squares down and thought I do it like a mosaic.  The sun was my first picture The rays are boxes, chocolate container and baking soda box.  The middle was the lid to my oatmeal container.  I glued yellow paper over it.  the wrinkles give it a sweet effect.

Then I thought I use t-shirt paint to outline the edges to help it look even more like stained glass. While cleaning up I thought oh wow I could even make a star picture with all that I had left over! AND I still have time to make and post before the challenge was over why not? I am on a roll.

Covering the picture with mod podge to seal it in....
So what ya think??
