I made these shrines for the most recent WWP swap. My partner requested a shrine to the Tripe Goddess (Maiden, Mother, Crone) and then we also agreed to do an extra. She asked for a shrine to the Mother Mary for her boss.

I made the Triple Goddess Shrine out of an old Jasmine Tea tin. First I cut out the front panel with some snips and then I spray painted the outside black and the inside silver. The front of the shrine is a triple panel made out of cards from The Tarot of the Princesses. The panel on the left is the Knight of Cups card, the center panel is the 10 of Pentacles is XIV Temperance. The image on the back is X The Wheel from the same deck.
I painted moons on the top and sides of the shrine. A full moon on the top and waxing and waning crescents on the side. The top also has four pressed flowers to represent the four elements (white for air, red for fire, blue for water, and the fern for earth)

Here are the descriptions of the tarot cards I used from the little book that came with the deck:
Knight of Cups: The Maiden and the Unicorn (from a legend) The unicorn represent purity. The knight indicates a person with refined manners and an impulsive character who tends to get lost in daydreams.
10 of Pentacles: Rixa and Luidgarda The Princess Rixa followed the suggestions of the deceased Queen Luidgarda, who appeared to her in the form of a butterfly, thereby saving the life of her son. The ten indicates a person who has reached maturity and wisdom, but also indicates the home and family.
XIV, Temperance: from "Fairy Tales' by Perrault The Arcana indicates the balance of natural forces, from and alchemic point of view it symbolizes the purification of metals.
X, The Wheel: Allegory of Life The eternal flow of like in its carouse phases to gain self-relicastion and regenerate oneself. THe aArcana is related to the concept represented my the alchemical figure of the serpent Ouroboros.

This is the shrine I made to the Mother Mary. The box was originally for a watch and as such it had some holes in the back. The first thing I did was to paint the entire box grey. I found the picture on a website for wallpapers with images of Mother Mary on them. The green paper came from my stash and the little verse/prayer is something I wrote because I couldn't find anything suitable online.
I covered the outside edge of the shrine with pink and green polka-dots. I also used wire and the holes already in the box to make it so the shrine could hang on a wall, but I forgot to take a picture of the back before I sent it off.

THanks for the comments. I try to put a lot of thought into my projects and I'm glad that shows though. My swap partner liked both of them lots n lots.
