I am making a amigurumi elephant that will be attached to a square blanket. I am working the arms and I am a little confused about how they join.  Do I stitch them to each other and then attach to the rest of the project,  or do I close them off individually and then attach to the project? The pattern states it like this "join open edges of each arm and sew them working with the 2 loops of each part"

Well that can be read both ways, can't it? I sew on each arm separately myself. I never thought about joining them together and then sewing on...I guess that would work if the arms were long enough. I say just do it however seems easiest to you.
