This is a found item. I need funds, so I want to put it on Ebay. Hope that is not an inappropriate query for this site...
thanks so much for any help.

Possibly Amber?  Does it feel super hard or almost more plastic-ie?  Since Amber is a natural resin it is lighter than a stone or glass of that size would be, and also doesn't feel as hard if you lightly scratch it with a fingernail.

Looking to de-stash cross stitch magazines, particularly Cross Stitch Gold or New Stitches?  Please drop me a line!  I'd love to swap or buy some missing from my library!

Thanks, Listessa. I think you are correct. I could scratch is easily. Plus, it has bits of flotsam in it and I have a vague memory of such stuff being in amber. the silver surrounding it is stamped. do you think such good quality silver would only be used with a decent stone/resin?

I agree that it looks like amber set in silver. IME, glass stones are usually set in base metals or silver plate. That's not a cheap bracelet.
