5 projects (2 swaps) finished this month, one of which has multiple elements & included a new skill and one was a wip - I call January a win!  Grin

I'm starting Feb with more knitting so it will be a while before I have any pics to share.

I just adore those clothes...that little sweater is so sweet...KNIT FAST!

I knit until my eyes hurt and my circular needle broke, but there's still at least one more repeat and the edging to go.  But it was sooo close!

Dewshinesdopp, your bracelet is lovely. I like the camaieu of colors you used and the randomness of it.

Aww, thanks so much yoopidou!  And thanks for teaching me a new word Smiley  I had to google "camaieu".  Now I know there's a fancy word for "make something in random shades of a single color".

That makes me so happy!

I completed a few others, only one of which was on my list.

Behold, more random    camaieu jewelry

And from my list, a LOST bracelet.  Since I plan to add a few more charms, it is still technically a WIP, but it's full enough to wear, so I'm calling that a win.  Smiley

Everything is beautiful. The hats for charity have a great design, fantasticmio, I love the teal and gray chunky cowl and earrings bunny1kenobi. Dewshinesdopp, your long necklaces look so pretty.

I've missed out on some crafting but I had a death in the family to prepare for. I did make about 35 rosary bracelets for family members who attended funeral services at the request of my mom. Here is a small peak of the colors and kind I made. Every single one is different and is a full rosary on memory wire.
The bracelets took me about 5 days to finish and I made a total of 46, including small versions for little girls.

I also made a hat using yarn my father found for me at savers. Needed something to keep my hands busy in between bracelets. At least they were things on my list.

V3nu5, that's a lot of rosary bracelets.

Dewshinesdopp, yeah for camaieu! You seem to have a good eye for assembling beads of different shades of the same color.

J_Kieviet, you made lots of sewn projects. I never used a serger. Is it hard?

FreakieGeekie, it's a very useful tool but I have no idea how you use it!

I made 17 projects in January.

New things I tried:
-homemade pasta( past posts)
-creating 5 new recipes. the one I liked best was the beet-orange-goat cheese salad.

-new art medium: oil pastels for the first time

-new art medium try: encaustic like painting with oil pastels.
I have tried melting the pastels. So, I used a heat gun, the heated pastel leaves a thick trace but it cools down very fast.
Then, I tried drawing on an electric grill plate. This works fine. The heat has to be high enough. It leaves a thick layer. It reminds me of Impressionism but it uses pastels like crazy.

-new art medium: pencils that have three colors on the same lead.
