I used a scarf that I found at Blue Velvet, an awesome vintage clothing store in Austin, and 1 1/8 yard of white satin.  Totalling $11!!

Great job!! I've tried making skirts out of scarves before, but the hole for the waist always ends up too big. Do you have some sort of guideline as to how much smaller it should be than your actual measurement?
