Hello all! I'm pretty new to spinning, and wanted to show off my first plied yarn (my second and third spin in all), done on a drop spindle. It's so pretty! I got the fiber sometime in May, and while I thought I had written down what kind of wool it was, I apparently didn't Tongue It's sheep. XD I spun singles over the summer and a couple of months ago plied them together on my drop spindle. THAT was an adventure, with a kitten underfoot. I just remembered to post, because I'm using it to make my husband's Christmas present. He thinks the yarn is 'manly' Wink Without further ado, my yarn:

That yarn is fabulous, Kat! You are doing so good. Do you know how much it weighs and/or the yardage? I can't really tell, is it gray or brown? Either way it's lovely. You will have to post your FO when you get his present done.

Thank you!!  Cheesy   It's this really pretty brown/grey actually XD It has really nice warm undertones. It's about 3.8 oz I think. And around 180 yrds. As I've been knitting it, I'm realizing that it MUCH more consistent than my first spin. I will totally post when I get his present done! Already half way through! I'd be done already, if I didn't have to knit when he wasn't here, and with our schedules that doesn't happen often Tongue
