So I've been on a Star Wars crafting streak, more than a handful of projects on the go for my son's new themed room.  I was trying to figure out how to deal with the light in his bedroom, currently the light is hideous and of poor quality but what kind of Star Wars theme could I do?  I do stained glass but don't want to commit to that big of a project, I've used the stained glass paint but it was more of an expense than what I wanted.  So I decided that maybe I would do the helmets of the bad guys in Star Wars and paint them on the glass shade...but then decided to try Crayola Window Writers because they were cheap.  It seemed to come out pretty good; I also had some Crayola Dry Erase Crayons from a roadtrip this past summer and I was able to color over some of the markers for a deeper or different shade.  I still going to paint over the gold parts of the light fixture in gray before I install it but I'll post an action shot once I get it up Cheesy

I like the idea, but did you take into account the ceiling lamp shade may get hot? Dripping Crayolas then?

Thanks for mentioning that, my husband mentioned it first but I decided I will give it a test run.  It didn't take super long to draw so if it has to be redone a different way I can wipe it from the glass shade...but I really hope it doesn't drip Cheesy  Your comment also made me look at the care information on the Window Writers, apparently they should still wipe but maybe need a bit more elbow grease the longer it's on the glass.  I do know for a fact that the Dry Erase will melt, as they did in the backseat of the vehicle we took on a summer roadtrip and smudged into the upholstery (not fun!).  Maybe I'll wait for a sale on LED bulbs to fit the shade, I heard they aren't supposed to give off as much heat Smiley

Oh I hope this doesn't melt cos it's perfect.  I wish I could draw as well as you do, the masks are all wonderful.
