Made my first ever spoon.
I love how it turned out, but wondered if anyone had tried this and if they had any good ideas on how to fire them. I waxed two areas on the handle and sat it on top of my beed tree. But the join between glazed and unglazed parts is a little rough.

That's a really neat spoon!
I think you might be able to just stilt it with the row of points so that the handle is resting on it and the bowl of the spoon can either be on a tripod or a row one too.  Can't wait to see more!

yep exactly what pjr107 said use stilts and then use a dremel to smooth over the rough spots.

or you can leave the back unglazed, which I did.

awesome spoon .
I made some but out of 10 spoons only 3 survived in tact.... I kept breaking them as I cleaned them. Smiley
