I recently learned about the Art Abandonment movement (from Craftster peeps, I think...) and decided I wanted to give it a try. I found these mini canvases at Michael's and though I'd see what kind of mess I could make out of them Smiley

I've only left one behind, so far, but I have more in the works. Two ready to go now, just trying to decide when and where! Smiley

Here's the first one...bottle cap for size reference only...

It was left in a package, like so, complete with an email address set up specifically for this little project:

Here is another autumn-inspired painting...this one is on an ATC-sized cardstock.

And this one will go somewhat closer to December...it was inspired by a box of vintage wrapping paper I found (again, bottle cap just for size reference...I don't think someone would appreciate that in their package, unless they were a crafty soul) Smiley

As always, thanks for looking!!

This is such a fun idea, I really like your seasonal art!  I hope you hear back from whoever finds your mini art Smiley

Include the bottle cap! Neat idea! And great for you sharing art around your community. I have read about the book people, that share books in coffee shops, etc. And the ones who knit and place things on public poles. Generally considered graffitti, but people look the other way when they are lovely.

I like your art. Very useful, with a small amount of materials to make people smile. I can't read your whole posted letter to include, but I am sure it is giving the gifted friend a smile! Great Job!  Grin

Edit: Queen of Afterthought...pen your addy on the inside of the bottle cap? They could get two, and make earrings!!! And you could share another trade with them? Just an idea.  Roll Eyes

Beautiful pieces of art and such a cool idea. It would be neat to couple this idea with the More Love Letters (http://www.moreloveletters.com/) movement.

Just in case anyone hasn't read about the Art Abandonment project, you can check it out here: http://michaeldemeng.typepad.com/art_abandonment/2012/06/art-abandonment.html

There is a Facebook group that is very active, but I am not able to access Facebook at work, so you'll need to either Google it, or follow the link from the site above.

Froggie - what an awesome site! I will definitely have to look into that more and see if I can incorporate the two! Smiley
