I'm a Craftster BEST OF 2013 Winner!

In a recent swap we had to create a creepy cute stuffie. I ended up making three, one as a prototype and then an extra because I had extra painted fabric. And yes, they each have their own pet candy corn.

Karma struck as I was trying to find the perfect fabric. My sister in-law dropped off a length of hideous red fabric from a store display. One side is fake nubbly/raw silk look in a dull red and the other side is shiny polyester. It frays red fuzz as well.

So I painted stripes with acrylics and it made a perfect monster hide. I've gone on to make additional painted critters.

The horns are polymer clay, the eyes are painted eyes with a flat marble glued over the top. I like the magnified eye look. I'll post the other critters when I finish them.

Monster friends forever:

Oh WOW you did an amazing job on those!  This was a super fun swap to craft for -- but mine did not come out as fancy as all that.  Wink  Great work!
