I wanted to try stitching on a leaf, so I tried this simple knot design, and made a little present for a friend.

Interesting.  Did you do anything to the leaf to make it last (not wither up) or is this a temporary gift?  Or, is this a real leaf?

it is a real leaf, and I didn't do anything to preserve it, I kind of like the idea of it withering away tied to a tree, with the other leaves.

I did cheat and glued a tiny piece of graph paper to the back to guide the stitches, then covered that with another piece of leaf.
