You all have probably seen the popular free hand crochet skull shawl circulating around pinterest and tumblr and stuff just in time for Halloween season. Well, I saw several requests for it's pattern on facebook so I tried to make a realistic skull motif {?} similar to it. This is my 1st try.  Embarrassed It could be better but Im out of yarn. I also think it would look 178% better if I blocked it or readjusted it here and there.

Hope you like it!

Out of yarn??? Unheard of!!!! I think the bit of the wonky adds character to the piece. Looks a bit like he could have died in a car crash, or some other horrific catistrophic event!  Grin Just kidding. It does not look that wonky. I like it. Very Halloween-y. I like the spiderweb you did on the top of the forehead part of the skull. Now for a black  crochet spider there??? Just an idea. Also, I love the new color that is popular...that acid green/neon green color. This project would look cool in that! Or orange (though I don't like that color at all...but very Halloween-y). Just some more ideas. I think you are on to something here, and great for a made up pattern of your own! Wonderful job!

NEW REQUEST: Need quilting fabric with ONLY purple, grey, green. Solids or Prints in any combination/shades, but NO OTHER COLORS ALLOWED. HELP! They are hard to find.

That is a really good skull. I like the way you did the teeth as an outline in filet crochet so you could still have the jawbone attached to the skull.  A very neat bit of crochet.

I keep seeing these neat little skulls, but this one is the best yet. Very well done! And unique, since all the other ones I've notice only have the top half.

oh don't mind me
