Does anybody have ideas on where to find oval embroidery hoops?
I snagged one from Goodwill at random and wanted to find more, but the only size I can find available to order online is 5 x 9. I want something larger, but can't find a darn thing!

None of the big crafty stores i.e. Jo-Ann's, Hobby Lobby, Michael's seem to carry them either.

Did you try Amazon? Our local fabric store has them and occasionally I have seen them at Joann's but it is pretty rare.

Also, Colonial Patterns? They might have them. Good luck!

Wow!  That's a pain- I'm surprised, Michaels had them in various sizes until about a year or two ago.

Would a quilting store carry some of the larger ones for hand quilting?  I haven't looked closely enough to know if they had ovals rather than just circles.  If you have a local needlework store, that might be an option?

Otherwise, I'd recommend cruising any second hand stores locally, keep your eye on yard sales or even bazaars that might have second hand items, watch craigslist for local needlework things for sale, as well as keeping your eyes on eBay and etsy!

Looking to de-stash cross stitch magazines, particularly Cross Stitch Gold or New Stitches?  Please drop me a line!  I'd love to swap or buy some missing from my library!
