Monday will be my two year anniversary, and I've never shared the felt bouquet I made for my wedding. It's easily one of the projects I am the most proud of but I never thought to post it here until now!

To make it, I made beaded stamens with itty bitty wire and seed beads. I attached those to the stems using floral tape. Then I cut individual petals out of really good quality felt and sewed them in different types of flowers until I could arrange them into a bouquet. It was very easy, but very time consuming! I have a LOT of pictures so sorry if its too much!

My goal wasn't really to make something that looked real, so while I kindof based these off real flowers I didn't worry too much if they were a little abstract or unrealistic. I made about 60 extra flowers as well that my florist worked into the other arrangements with real flowers. We wanted a kindof crafty feel to the whole thing.

Also my photo skills are not great, so here's a photo (ok two) my photographer took that I think is much prettier! I think my favorite part are the green kinda spikey things!  Cheesy

Thanks for indulging me while I reminisce about my wedding!  Cheesy

Oh wow, those are gorgeous. I love fabric/paper flowers instead of real ones for weddings and such, they don't make me sneeze and the possibilities are endless. Smiley

Little River Band...Happy Anniversary Baby.

Beautiful flowers. I like the crafty feel, too. Must have been a wonderful wedding.

NEW REQUEST: Need quilting fabric with ONLY purple, grey, green. Solids or Prints in any combination/shades, but NO OTHER COLORS ALLOWED. HELP! They are hard to find.

I think real flowers are a waste of money, as they look beautiful for a night but then die...fake flowers are a waste b/c what are you going to do with all of them after the event...but your bouquet!  How different and beautiful, and something that could easily be passed down to your children.  Beautiful!

thank you everyone for your very kind words! I get all mushy about weddings and anniversaries and decided to take you all down memory lane with me  Cheesy

I have a bouquet vase that it just kindof lays in so we could display it in our home(see pic below). I spent so much time on it I would never get rid of it!

I had real flowers too, but I really liked the idea of creating something and putting love and energy into a piece of our wedding. We made some other decor too but this was the most special to me.
