A friend of mine saw on Pinterest a fun way to reveal the gender of her new baby. She used a real pumpkin, drew on a face, attached a pacifier and then after the ultrasound told her it was a boy, she added a blue bowtie. She displayed her little pumpkin so everyone could see that it was a boy! I wanted to make her a felted pumpkin with the blue bowtie so that it would last forever.  Grin
sorry my pic is a little fuzzy

I started with a foam core. I haven't done this before, but I was pressed for time and I wanted my pumpkin to be a decent size.

I added on some plain wool I have lots of before adding on the orange, which I don't have lots of. I felted the stem separately and and added it after the orange.

I added the face with yellow wool, but it needed something more. I added the black for the eyes. It made him look much cuter. The bow tie I made separately and added on. I think he turned out rather cute.  I left him fluffier than I normally do, but I like the effect.

That is just too cute! I like him fluffy, it adds character. This is very well done. I must say, though, I was surprised it wasn't NSFW with the "gender reveal" title. Not upset at all, but surprised. Ha! You did a great job.

very cute!  i only got to do a gender reveal once, since I only found out the one time, and while tiny blue socks are cute, they aren't as special as this! wonderful gift!
