I'm a fairly new knitter, and I want to try knitting a stuffed animal. Does anyone know and sites or patterns that are fairly easy for beginners?

I'm sure if you did a google search for "stuffed animal knit patterns" or "toy knit patterns," something would come up. Or, I just heard about a book called "Toy Knits" by Debbie Bliss. Maybe there are some easy patterns in that? Good luck with your mission!!!  Smiley

Here is some links:

Knitted Bunny.  This is super easy.  Just knit a square and sew the ends together.

Pasha the penguin.  This is more complicated but the penguin is super cute.

I second that - here is the horse I made from that book - the very first thing I knitted!

The sea-turtle and shark from 'World of Knitted Toys' by Kath Dalmeny are simple and straightforward, esp. if you leave the patterning off the turtle shell.

I don't have the square animal book but years ago I crocheted rectangle, folded it and seamed the sides and stuffed it. Then I put a face on the front and a tail on the back. So I had a pink one that had a pig face, crocheted circle nose and embroidered eyes and a squiggly tail on back. I don't know why you couldn't do the same with knitted rectangles. But then that may be what's in the book.  Huh
