So.. I made another thing! ..Another Doctor Who thing. *hides* I can't help it, it's an addiction. Tongue  I am addicted to making small, stuffed versions of Doctor Who - particularly David Tennant, probably because he is adorable, and since I cannot have my own real version, I make mini stuffed versions. Wink

I have made a few more sitting versions that I haven't posted here because, well, it feels like the same ol' thing, but this guy, he was a total experiment and a labour of love (and a lesson in frustration!) but I am so pleased with him. He may just be my favourite thing I've made to date. Cheesy

I am obsessed with altering old patterns and creating new ones, and this was definitely a combination of the two. I made a whole new body pattern and tweaked the existing head pattern, rigged up an armature system (or two) and then the real fun/frustration started.Wink This pattern isn't all that much smaller in total height than my usual dolls, but it is a lot smaller in general size. The proportions are completely different which made making clothes for him a real challenge.

I went through two yards of fabric doing test clothing pieces for him before my inner perfectionist quality control checker was satisfied. I also made seven different shoe prototypes until I was happy - in fact, the only 'first attempt' that made it to the final product was his Sonic Screwdriver (even his head and socks were second versions Wink)

He is 17inches tall and can sit and stand by himself, without aid, fairly easily.. which makes putting him in cute, random poses ridiculous amounts of fun... which will explain the following bajillion photos. Wink

His outer coat is removable...

But personally, I prefer it on. Wink

(The seam/vent on his coat is straight, I swear, I just didn't notice I hadn't straightened it out until after I took photos. :/)

He can sit as easily as he stands..

And I made his little Sonic out of Apoxie Sculpt and then painted and glazed it.

And then of course, come the doctor-y (and random!) poses, just because..

And here's a random one because I thought it would be fun to make him pretend to be a Weeping Angel. Wink

Thanks for reading - I hope I didn't maim anyone's internet connection, trying to load the bucketload (TARDISload?) of pictures! Wink

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.
