I set out to make this lovely afghan for a dear friend who's adopting a baby boy.  I really had no pattern other than a large granny square where I changed colors every two rows and a stuffed head in the middle. That sounds rather wrong. So I made a granny square at 21 inches square and searched Pinterest for a pretty scalloped border to add on to it for a more finished look. Then I searched Pinterest again for a crochet ball pattern for the head. Found it here:
The I crocheted two small circles, folded them in half and single crocheted along the edges to make the ears. I attached it to the stuffed head and sewed it onto the blanket. It's really a simple project I completed it in an afternoon.

In progress shot:

edited to add: I just realized my big gigundo foot was in that last picture.  Sorry 'bout that Smiley

hahaha! This was my exact thought when I saw the thumbnail - you beat me to the punch. Smiley

Too darn cute. The details on the little face are so crisp.

This is really well-made, and it's gonna be a perfect playmat for the tiny human when they get him home. Great job cobbling it together from a bunch of different sources.

Errata-Hate, my YouTube channel, all crochet.
