Wanted to show you my finally finished Captain Picard quilt. Made for a couple of very special trekkies for their wedding. It is queen sized, made with about 4500 2" squares. I started it in April and just finished it Friday - in time for the wedding rehearsal! Edit: Here is the link to my blog post about this!  http://candycoatedquilts.blogspot.ca/2013/08/oh-captain-my-captain.html

Well done! I can't let my boyfriend see this. Otherwise, I'll be spending a year trying to make a picard quilt half as good as yours. Tongue

My "Make your own sheldon" post also has a more detailed description about how I did both quilts.

    That is so cool!

Over here, when we have conventions, my dad goes as Picard. He actually looks extremely similar to Picard. He always gets asked at least a dozen times for his photo or to do the facepalm.  Wink

I did cut all of the squares by hand because the way I did it, you could get away with the squares not all being the exact same size. If I do the pixel quilts a different way, I use my Go! Baby cutter to make sure they're all the same. Much easier!
