Well, seeing as I've totally failed with the summer nerd games and haven't done anything yet, I think I'll just start over with fall! My summer got really hectic just about the same time I signed up, and it's finally beginning to settle down a bit now that school is in full swing.

I'm glad WIPs are going to be allowed, because there is no way I'm going to be able to finish my final Summer Nerd project....  Tongue

I've only registered with the forum, not sure if this Craftalong is open to newbies, pinkleo

Question for experienced "Craftalongers" and "Battlers": Is it very time-consuming? From what I can see you can submit projects over the full time (or is it by month)?

IF Newbies are allowed to take part, then I think my team would be Multimedia. Smiley

Newbies are welcome.

Most battles are allowed to be turned in until the end of the semester.  Special ones like battles are only available for the month.

Depending on the challenge it doesn't take longer to meet the requirements if you often craft.  Challenges are designed to inspire and motivate. If you just complete one challenge that is all you need to do each semester which can last about 4 months

Thanks for the info,Eiseldora! Smiley

Sign me up for team Multimedia. This is very exciting.
I don't know how much I'll be able to do with the Holidays coming up, but I'm gonna love every minute of it.

OK, I've read up on the other games, and I'm in!  Grin

I used to be on Craftster quite a bit, but last year I got quite poorly, and it's completely knocked my crafting confidence, so this might be just the spur I need to get myself back into it, and re-find my crafting mojo.

Plus, since moving in with my bf, I now have a fantastical craft room that I really want to use more!

It was a tough choice,  but I think I'll go with Team Wordy, hopefully it will help inspire me a bit more than I am at the moment!

Yay, getting quite excited, and have some ideas bombing around my tiny mind...

I will try to get my Summer research project completed by Saturday...  Roll Eyes

How does one go about transferring a research project to the Fall games?

It worked for me!  I had been so ill I could barely make anything, and I would go into my workroom and just cry.  The nerdalong really saved me!  Smiley

I've decided to officially join Team Wordy for the Fall Nerd Battles.

Thanks Ludi, sometimes it's good to know it's not just you!

One of the benefits of officially losing my marbles was discovering I could paint (a bit!), so I'm going to try and build some of that into my crafting - maybe try some new crafts?

i have a problem with new crafts.  i can't stop doing them.  i want to try everything.  this causes problems because once i do something, i throw myself in it and then when i'm done i move on which means i have an apartment FULL of stuff and a husband going "why do you have _____ on your wishlist?  i thought you were learning ____.".  then i do that over and over until i burn out on crafting altogether.  hoping this will keep me utilizing enough different crafts and techniques to avoid the burnout since crafting is what keeps me sane (or as sane as i can be).

I do that too.  My husband just sighs and asks something like "what now?"
