Dear All,

I am looking for a present to my girl who is an amigurumi enthusiastic. I think think that it is a good idea ask to the people who are amigurumi experts. I have several ideas but I can not to do a good selection:

- Needle set: there is any needle set that it is cool and good?

- Set of amigurumis manufacturing. Which one do you recommend?

- Which other materials are useful to do amigurumis? (markers, threaders, metering rules)

- A good wool or a cheap set of wools.

What do you think? If you have an another idea you can say me.

thanks in advance.

Hello! i hope I am not too late to reply. I wouldn't go for a set of needles as your gf might probably already have a bunch of them.

I would suggest a cotton yarn selection of beautiful colours. Try taking a peak at what she crochet. Does she use thick or thin yarn. Wool or cotton? Let that be your guide to selecting yarn.

Another suggestion would be amigurumi eyes/nose etc. Or better yet, a great storage idea of keeping her supplies! Basically try peaking at her collection, tools, supplies of eyes/nose; and get what she lacks rather than getting her a fancy set which some of the items she might already have Cheesy

Hopefully you found something that worked.  I am assuming that you needed the present a while ago, but thought I would reply in case anyone else has the same thought.

The things I have that makes amigurumi much easier is this list:

Craft case (to store eyes etc. in)
Safety eyes (all sizes and different colors)
Steel crochet hooks (best for the smaller amigurumi)
Bag to store yarn in - I have a couple different ones so I can put the skeins of yarn I need for my project I am working on.
I also use milk crates to store my yarn.  They stack nicely against a wall with the opening facing out for easy access.
Stitch savers - the kind that lock.  Nothing like having a saver that will come out while you are in the middle of a round.

Personally as an amigurumi lover, I'd love to get a gift card from the craft store so I can pick what I need.
