For me, craftster is about improvising.

If I want to make something, but I don't have any of the supplies I need, I go to craftster for ideas.
This evening I wanted to be an artist, but since I am most definitely NOT an artist, I don't own any art supplies.
This girl is drawn from a photo found on an internet search engine, with a ball point pen on a piece of binder paper, and colored with eyeshadow (when I decided she deserved color).

Sorry for the low quality picture, I know nothing about photography, and I don't have a scanner. She is much more beautiful in real life. I hope you guys love her as much as I do, she is my first successful attempt at both portraits and coloring Smiley

largefarva, you can email it to me, if you'd like:  jean@craftster.org

If you can get it to me within the next 10 minutes or so, I can upload it for you.  It's nearly 2 am my time, so I'm off to bed soon! Smiley

I planned to take a few more pictures today, to better capture her beauty (she looks terrible in that picture)- but I learned a hard life lesson today-
Art and children are a BAD combination.
In her memory, I have attempted to crop one of the least failed photographs from last night. Hopefully, between the two, you can get a glimpse of her former good looks.

I love that you were inspired to make such a wonderful piece of art with the "supplies" you had!  I hope you continue to make art Grin

Beautiful portrait! I often find myself using whatever is available & not letting the lack of 'proper' materials slow me down. You'll find that it teaches you to be even more creative!  Wink
