Hey! So I got the idea for this project from viewing this amazing Bulbasaur afghan and all of the other lovely afghans linked in this topic https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=396342.0#axzz2MYK3jkD5
After seeing these, I went on the hunt to find a good cross-stitch Loki pattern to transform into a bit afghan. Unfortunately, I can't find it again. (so if anyone does see it, please post?)

My friend absolutely adores Loki so I had the brilliant idea of embarking on this quest. He's composed of an ungodly amount of granny squares. There are approximately 550 2 inch squares making up Loki. The black on either side are rows of 3, 4, and 5 inch squares. I added a blanket layer on the opposite side to make him really nice to cuddle up with and to hide all of the yarn ends.

All in all, he took around 300 hours to complete, which I had not anticipated when I started. It became a matter of pride to complete it and proud I am. As of now, I'm granny squared out and will not be doing anything like this in the near future.) Enjoy!

Awesome! I have always wanted to make one of the granny square afghans like this but I just don't have the patience.

Thanks everyone!
Ha, odd thing is, I've only known her since last August. But yes, she's a pretty good friend.
