Yay! I gotta make it for a friend, too. I'll give it to her when school starts back up. Do you think acrylic felt is ok? I can't get wool felt locally, and ordering online... shipping... money! :\

I find felt okay for small projects, but since it needs to hold a geometric shape you have to stuff it more then felt can take I think. But I am not too familiar with felt to tell the truth.

have you ever tried working with polyestor fleece? It's a very forgiving fabric and oh so huggable. Plus you can find it at Joanns fabrics, and most walmarts.
