Been worrying a bit about the materials I was planning on using for some of the smalls... then, like divine intervention, my mom sends me a link to the perfect solution! Grin Now I just need to pick up some ____ (why don't I already have ____? ridiculous.) and I can get my craft on after work today! It helps that this is a quiet craft... I don't get home from work until about 10pm hehe.

Rockmygypsysoul, hope your mother's surgery goes well and that you get your large started in time.

Thanks!  I actually talked with her yesterday and we will be doing it over the weekend so I'm super excited - I think onyxnox will really like it plus I get to craft alongside my mom which we pretty much never do.  I am a crafter, my mother is an artist  Wink

Yeah, her surgery is next week so I feel a little anxious just because, well, it's surgery.  She's having her lady bits attended to (hysterectomy) so it should be fairly routine and she's in great health so the surgery shouldn't be any problem at all - we're much more worried about how much she's going to hate having to just lay around like 3-4 weeks afterward!

That said, there's always a little fear of course.  But we will do this project this weekend and then I can work on some actual Christmas stuff during her convalescence that I can take over and watch movies and just hang out with her.  It's nice since I work from home because I can spend some time during the day with her while my dad has just life stuff and then he'll be home for the evening and I can return home to my hubby.

I know this is a long response that's totally unmerited.  I'm just starting to get a bit anxious so that's how it comes out!  Wink

that's like my sister when she had hers.  She had no idea how much she managed things around her until she had to let go and relax after her surgery.  Then she was pleasantly surprised by how well her kids helped out and did things well.  Hubby was good too, but let's face it, if something happened to her, he would have been clueless.   He hadn't even been to the bank himself in over 2 decades - she would check his wallet, and put cash in.  She also managed his office too.  He's lucky she's so honest and loving, os he could have been robbed blind!

I am sure your mom will do fine, but of course you are going to worry.  We worried about Sue too, but she was fine also.  Just bored!

I picked a pattern of ........ that I think you will enjoy!  I am going to make a few smalls and maybe send half my package soon.  Cookie Monster takes up valuable real estate!

well my dad will do well - he actually does most of the housework now since he's anal and mom's creative and busy  Cheesy  but that way he can have some time off since he likes to work out and volunteers at our church and whatnot plus they'll probably want to kill each other after that much time together nonstop.

Swapping up a storm here!  Totally open to personal swaps - I am always in need of awesome stuff Wink

I hope to doG I don't ever have to be bed ridden for any length of time.  I would be ROYALLY SCREWED!!!  Nothing, and I mean NOTHING would get done.  I would be left to rot.  All I am to anybody around here is the unpaid help.

Wow! I love the ring! Your dad did great work!

That ring is super cute!

On another note, I finished another medium today, I just need to go get it printed (my partner knows about this one). It took me way longer than two hours, but it was totally worth it, and I think her daughter is going to love it!

So that gets me to:
smalls: 4
mediums: 2 1/2
larges: 0

I'm pretty excited to hit the "halfway" mark!

When I get back, I am on a mission.
