Updated!!

Here's my new Groovy Green Vase Handbag with fabric handles (thanks for the great idea , Flareon)!!

Any suggestions for the closure?  Right now it's a yellow ribbon with a big blue button cuz that's all that I had that would come close to working.

I bow down to your superior sewing skills!  Shocked It's just SO neat and clean!
How do you do that stitching around the circle on the inside pocket of your first bag?

The inside one is a Michael Miller print.  I found it at my local Ragshop.  The outside fabric is a vintage silkscreened canvas from 1975.

This is super-duper, a-grade, neat-o Cheesy I love the fabric, and I think the closure is really cute, and works perfectly with the design. If you really wanted to change the closure, though, you could make a little tab/flap to replace the ribbon, and either make a button hole, or sew the button to the tab and put velcro/a snap under it.

ragamufyn, you really do have superior sewing skills, I like to think of myself as being pretty skilled, but your round zig-zag stitch is most impressive!
I love the choices of fabrics, your design skills are obviously as developed as your sewing skills, and I looked over the first handbag for handle/fluffy weirdness, and thought that the black vinyl handle kind of contrasted nicely with the pink fluff.

One woman's opinion.

Faerietail--  My new ones have a tab closure with magnetic snaps!  Easier than fiddling with the ribbon and buton.

rabid.dustbunny--  awwww shucks!
