I think it's great! What is the design on the small white blocks?

They are black outlines of a horse's head with red lined horseshoes around the horse's head.  It is pieced with black on black  and dark red blocks.  The horse's heads face out from the center so the two blocks on one side have the horses looking left and the other two blocks have side the horses looking right.
