Recently our nephew was involved in a fire and is in a hospital burn unit with 25% of his body covered with 3rd degree burns.  His recovery will be long and painful.  (Prayers and good wishes greatly appreciated)  I would like to make something, but am stuck for ideas.

He is in his late 20s, married, with preemie twin girls.  They are understandably overwhelmed.

The only thing I can think of is a remote holder/organizer for an armchair.  Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Oh no! I am so sorry. I hope he recovers soon.

I love that idea of a remote holder. What does he like or is he into anything? Maybe a pillow that he can use with his favorite quote. A hoop with his favorite quote or something he is likes.

I'm so sorry. I also hope he recovers soon.

If he likes reading then a book he likes with handmade sweets would be nice. Also maybe a nice home cooked meal as I imagine he is still in the hospital. (and who likes hospital food?)

I would check with the nurse who works in the burn ward. Ask her if he has any dietary restrictions and see if she has any recommendations.

Prayers are with him and his family.

Thank you, ladies, for the good wishes and all the great ideas.  I will talk over your suggestions with family.  (Love the hoop idea but arthritis prevents hand-sewing)  An extra pillow with a unique case would be nice for elevating his burned arm while in bed, and a book would help to pass the time.  Homemade goodies can be shared with visitors, and who wouldn't appreciate a cooked meal.  His wife has been staying at the hospital so a touch of home would boost her spirits as well.  Smiley
