for those who missed my dresser revamp, this was it (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=39441.0)

and THIS is my matching peice!!!

The top took lotsssss of work.  I'd like to give a big thank you to wal-mart, menards, and home depot for supplying me with all the paint chips  Smiley

Basically I sanded and primed over the wood that was oringinally there, painted my based colors, cut the paint chips into 1" squares (to sort of stick with the checkerboard theme of the dresser), mod podged them onto the top.  Then drew on the stars, mod podged a buncha glitter into the drawer holes.  For the inside which i was too lazy to paint, i used spray adhesive to attach it and then mod podged the edges/corners to help it stick. (the spray adhesive was rough to work with..  rar!)

I am unsure if i should paint the sides of this yet..  if you guys have any input, that'd be great!

thanks for checking out my post!   Smiley

Nice follow-through! The stars work well with your first piece. And what a way to use paint chips.

Given the pattern on top, I'd probably leave the sides blank. (In my family we call this "quitting while you're ahead.")

Good job actually completing a project. I am inspired.

thanks for the awesome compliments!

I'm so happy i could be an inspiration.  I got most of my ideas from stuff i've seen on here ~ so i guess i'm just passing on the favor!   Grin

That's amazing! Great job.

From the book Godless:

Just Al: I know that God is real. I feel his presence in my heart
Me: What does it feel like?
Just Al: It's hard to describe Jason. It feels good.
Me: Oh. I thought maybe it was like heartburn or something.

I thought the first dresser was great, but this is friggin' amazing! I am in awe. I love it so much and am very jealous right now b/c I really don't think I could convince my boyfriend to let me paint our dressers pink.  Cry

Augh! So incredibly awesome! I can't believe you had patience for both of them--and they actually ended up matching!
