Okay, I am still trying to figure out where to post stuff.  If this does not go here, please feel free to move it!  LOL  I am not sure if it goes here, housewares, or somewhere totally different.

I make custom coasters from tumbled travertine tiles.  This afternoon, I got to experimenting with using coffee as a stain, to give it an aged or antique aesthetic or appearance.  I really like the look.  Of course the unique natural pits and dimples on each stone give each one a different appearance and some till "take up" more of the coffee than others I guess.  I am applying it with a small sponge type thing.  It is a blending sponge for using distress inks in paper crafting and such.  I also use these sponges in my coaster design with my staz-on.

Now this coffee will go on the stone in addition to my design, done in staz-on ink.

I am wondering if anyone has used coffee and tumbled travertine in this way, even if not for coasters?  Are there problems I am unaware of?  What do I need to know that I don't know about working with coffee and tile?

Thanks in advance.
