I recently had a little give-away on my tumblr as a sort of Thank You to the internet (and those that inhabit it Wink) at large for all the warm & fuzzies that are sent my way in regards to my crafting stuff. The winner requested a Merlin plushie and I was more than happy to oblige -- that hair! those ears! I mean, how could I resist? Wink

His eyes and eyebrows are needlefelted, though now I'm painting the mouths on because I find it a lot less mess and better end results.

He sits unaided quite easily -that's how I designed the pattern- but he will also stand once he's propped against something (Merlin is a bit lazy you see Wink).

The picture I was using as reference had him with this little drawstring pouch attached to his belt. I'm not sure what it's for (it's been a long time since I've seen an episode) but I figured it must be important, so I gave plush!Merlin his own fully functional version. Cheesy

I think he turned out quite well, and I'm rather glad the winner liked Merlin more than Arthur -- I'm not sure how I would have coped with having to make chainmail. Wink

All we have to decide is what to craft with the time that is given to us.

Omg that tiny functional pouch has my head spinning!! I despised the tiny sleeve holes for my daughter's yukata I'm working on, I cant even imagine making a fully functional drawstring pouch for a doll! But omg, he's soooooooo cute!!!!

He is so awesome!  I love his ears and all the little details.  You really manage to capture the characters' personalities in your plushies.  Too cool!

Adventure is out there!
