I come from a large family and this summer it will be growing again. at last count we will be welcoming 7 new bundles of joy into the ranks.

I am on a very tight budget so can't afford to buy ready made gifts for baby showers ect. I do however own a sewing machine and lots of fabric (from when I did have money).

So I decided that I could make quilts for all the new little ones in the family. The only problem, I didn't know the first thing about making a quilt. Well I know that you sewed cloth together in a pleasing pattern, but didn't know what to do from there. So I am teaching my self, with lots of help from tutorials and web searching.

Here are a few that I have made so Far.

this is the first one I made. It was supposed to be for my cousin's baby girl due in July but once my little one saw it she claimed it for herself.

this one was made for my nephews first birthday. I don't have a completed photo of this one, and the lighting doesn't show the colors very well. it is Primary colors. and my machine has stitches for letters and numbers so I added his name and birthdate. and used Primary yellow baby blanket binding. each block had a different quilting to it.

this is the one I am working on now. I need to press the seam on the boarder, but you get the idea. this is my first non square pattern. I only had to rip out the seam twice  Embarrassed

BTW: the blanket stealer is in this photo. I had to explain to her that this was for one of the new babies and not another mommy quilt for her. Grin

sorry for the long post but I am very excited with what I have done so far and wanted to share with everyone. Please let me know what you think.

**Update**

Finished the Flower Quilt. What do you think? It really isn't that wonky, it is just how it is laying on the grass.

Well, I'm very impressed with your quilts, you seem to have done a good job on all of them.
