I reserve the right to deny acceptance to anyone who has a history of late sending or poor communication. This is a BIRTHDAY swap. No one should be flaked on on their birthday, don't you agree? Birthdays are special times for people!

PLEASE READ ALL RULES BEFORE YOU SEND YOUR INFO. I expect you to know the answers to some questions at the end of this info...!

Questions? Please post in the discussion/gallery :https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=423938.0#axzz2UK8LMhMZ

Details of swap:  This swap was organized so everyone can get something crafty for their birthday!  Please read the guidelines carefully.

**You have ONE WEEK after being approved for this swap in which to make your first claim!**

1. This swap is list style, like the Ongoing Wishlist Swap.  However, it is NOT chain style. You can choose any birthday Craftsters list that is posted, rather than only being able to pick from the last one posted like in the OWSwap.

2. This is a medium item swap. A medium item is defined as a craft or recon, etc that takes you two hours to complete OR $20 worth of store bought items. (If bought from a thrift store, estimate what it would have cost new.) However, you may also substitute a few small items for a medium.

3. If your birthday is in swap's current month, you can post your birthday wish list for this month. To do that, you must first PM me with the swap questionnaire filled out and wait for approval. While you're waiting, be sure to post in the discussion/gallery thread: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=423938.0#axzz2UK8LMhMZ

4. Once you have been approved, you may post your list of things that you would like to receive. This is the format for your lists: First post your location and a short bio of yourself, then a list of crafted items you would like, then craft supplies (if any) and lastly you can put a few extras that arent crafted, things like candy or tea. Remember, the more items on your list, the more likely you are to be chosen. The minimum of items to post is five.  Also including your wists, etsy favorites, Pinterest, etc. is a good way for people to get the idea of your likes and style.  If you have any allergies please type them in red in your bio section. Please see "Tips to Creating a Good List" below.

5. Please post lists only in this thread. Discussion can be done here in the combined discussion/gallery thread which is linked up top.

Please be sure to post here so that you can be part of the discussion and receive. You will not be approved until you have posted in the discussion thread.

 6. Every birthday participant must make at least one claim. You may have up to two claims at a time, unless you are an FOC or a first time swapper, and then you can claim again once your items are received (not when you mail out). New swappers may only have one outstanding claim; they may claim again after their first claim is received. FOC's may have 3 outstanding claims at a time. Claims need to be made from the "crafted" and "craft supplies" sections of a person's list. The "extras" are just that--extra items you may want to throw in if you are feeling generous, but claims cannot be solely extras. Keep it crafty :-) (I'm asking that if you are sending mostly supplies, that you craft a little something for the bday person, even if it's a handmade card.)

7. You may get claimed more than once, but your minimum amount to claim is one.  It is possible you may not get claimed at all. In this case you will not be provided a swap angel; angels are only if you get flaked on. However I will do my best to make sure everyone gets claimed by keeping track of how many times each person is claimed. If possible please think about picking someone who has been claimed 0 times versus someone who has been claimed 3 times.  Smiley

8. If it is not your birthday but you would like to send a birthday present out, that's just dandy!  Fill out the non-birthday swapper questionnaire and send it to me for approval.  Birthday swappers who receive a present from a non-birthday swapper must send a snail mail thank you card (and a hand-crafted one would be pretty cool...) You will not receive feedback until I hear from the other swapper that they have received a thank you card.

9. When you choose to fulfill a birthday wish, PM both the organizer AND the chosen Craftster.  At that time, please request the address from the receiver for where to send it.  After that, you have 2 weeks to get the item to your post office.

10. It is super important for everyone to keep good communication.  It is REQUIRED that you PM me when you've sent and of course, don't forget the DC#.  It is REQUIRED that when you receive, you PM me and publicly announce in the gallery (even if you don't have pictures).  If you do not send the appropriate PMs, you will receive poor communication" feedback.

11. When one of your items is chosen, please cross it out so that it is easier for others to see what has been chosen. (It wouldn't hurt to thank the person at this time either.)

12. If you are sending late you must PM blupaisan by your send-out date.  If your send-out date comes and goes and you dont PM me, you will receive poor communication feedback.  I really do not wish it to be my responsibility to hunt you down for info...

13. If you are flaked on in this swap you will receive an angel, but only in the amount of packages to which you also sent out. For instance, if you send out 2 packages, and are claimed for 3 packages but are flaked on once, you will not receive an angel because you already received 2 packages, which is equal to what you sent. Get it? If you send 1 package and are claimed for 1 package and you are flaked on, you will receive 1 angel.

Please make sure to put "June Birthday Swap or something equivalent in the subject line on all communications.  Communication is so very important... makes the swap good for everyone!  Wink  Please PM me (blupaisan) when you send and receive, and please reply to my PM's to you in a timely manner.  I thank you.

If you format your PMs like this:
"June B'day Swap" and either "Sign-up," "Claim," "Sent," "Received," or "Question"
it would make my busy life soooo much easier.

When sending sent and received PMs include the send-by date, listed in the second post of the main thread, your user name, their user name and the item. Just copy and past the info from the second post if you want!:
Send by June 16
craftstername to craftstername --Steampunk shirt
Outstanding claims allowed:
FOCs: 3 at a time
First time swappers: 1 at a time
Everyone else: 2 at a time

Become an FOC~

It seems that every month there is someone whose list languishes for a while. I want everyone to get picked so here are some tips for a well-round list:

--Make sure your items are actually mediums and smalls. Quilts are not mediums! Large painted portraits are not mediums. Hand knit sweaters are not mediums. This isnt to say that you cant have any large items on your list (some generous soul may have the time and the inclination to choose one of those!), but the majority of the list should be smaller items.

--Listing A surprise plus a well filled out Craftster profile and a link to your wists, etc. (with a decent amount of items on it) is always helpful in getting chosen.

--Make sure to post a variety of crafting techniques. If you list sculpy ornaments in five various themes and count that as your required five items, that is more like one item for someone to choose, not five. Having various crafting methods (sewn, knit, crocheted, paper crafted, jewelry, etc.) is going to make it easier for people to choose you.

--Check out other lists in past B'day swaps and the Ongoing Wishlist Swap for ideas for things you might not normally think of.

Name of swap: June 2013 Birthday Swap
Craftster username:
Email address:
Real name & Address , as it would appear on an envie or package, style that Post office likes, ya know?
When is your birthday?
Have you read and understand all of the rules to this swap?
Are you willing to send at least a medium item per claim?
(If not then you will not be approved.)
Are you at least 16 years old?  Yes/No
Who and what do you claim for crafting? If you do not know yet/it's the beginning of the swap, you have 1 week after being approved to claim someone:
If shipping within the US, I agree to obtain a DC#: Yes/No
If shipping from outside of US, I agree to provide a copy/scan of my mailing receipt.  Yes/No
Have you posted in the discussion thread already? If you say yes and haven't I will not approve you. If you say no I will not approve you. Discussion thread found here: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=423938.0#axzz2UK8LMhMZ   Yes/No
Tell me, tell me - What do you have to do if someone who is a non-b'day swapper sends you a gift?
Second question -  How long do you have to send out after making your claim?

If shipping from outside of US, I agree to provide a copy/scan of my mailing receipt. Yes/No
I understand that I will be getting a thank you card and not a package for this swap.  Yes/No

Also remember to read the Swap Info Guide to find out how to ship your item and other details about participating in a swap.
Please make sure to post in the combined Gallery/Discussion Thread to keep up with updates: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=423938.0#axzz2UK8LMhMZ

Hi, all, my name is Meg. Both my hubby and I are Geminis and we love it! This month is awesome, with all of the flowers, and the entire summer ahead of us all. I turn the big five-oh on the 16th.
I am really into gardening, both veggies and flowers, like to bicycle (and unicycle), canoe, hike, swim, ski, save kitties in trouble, do lots of crafts, paint (watercolor or pastel chalks), mentor kids, meditate, write in many ways, and laugh. I live in Upstate New York now but I guess I will always really think of myself as a Vermonter.
I adore Nature (she is my Higher Power as I follow a 12-step program) and feel at my best beside a babbling brook, on a mountain top, or even searching for interesting plants to 'steal' in an abandoned parking lot - found chives last week...
Favorite color - turquoise
Favorite quote -The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way in which its animals are treated. -Gandhi
Favorite book - The Little House series by Laura Ingalls Wilder
No TV, so no fave tv show...
Movie - Pollyanna
food - lasagna (vegetarian, as I am one) for meals, anything that combines chocolate and peanutbutter for sweets.
Season - summer
Thing to wear - my watch

Stuff I would luuuv to get -

A quilted (or crocheted or knitted or any fabric-made) keyboard cover so my kitties can still lie on it and not mess it up with fur.

Garden markers for veggies - tomato, potato, cukes, squash, carrots, spinach, lettuce, sage, thyme, rosmary, chives, onions, beans, peas.

Monogrammed/embroidered hankie for me and/or hubby. We are goin' green and abandoning tissues. My initial M my hubby's B.

Homemade calendar for 2014 with theme of either cats or Nature

Altered journal

Cat toys

Cat scratching thing so Smokey stops destroying our sofa

Crafted note cards and/or stationery

Crafted glass jar - med or large for our kitchen sink to hold scrub brushes

Same for bathroom to hold toothbrushes

Supplies -
Watercolor pallette/varied dish
Papers of all sorts for ATC making or watercoloring
New brushes - various sizes

Good fabric scissors
Fabric scraps/ fat quarters

Extra goodies...
Homemade cookies, candy (anything except licorice or candy made with gelatin)
Cat treats
Any flavor Doritos
Flavored roasted nuts
Same with sunflower seeds

my wist...
I am not wearing jewelry at this time, so you can ignore that in the list.

Thanks for considering me!

Hello, my name is Tracey, I will be 34 on the 25th.  I live in Glasgow, Scotland with my boyfriend and our two guinea pigs.  In my free time I like to craft, go to gigs, cook, read, watch comedy shows and Scandinavian crime drama.

My themes are guinea pigs (of course!), birds, animals, nature, trees, bold geometric patterns, Scandinavian style, retro / vintage kitsch, art deco, tattoos, big bang theory, parks and recreation, the IT crowd, indie music (PM for details of bands), buttons, Vikings.

I am vegetarian, so no products that contain gelatine, leather or fur please.

My favourite colour is teal blue.  I like bright colours, although not anything glittery.

I would love to receive:

A surprise item on any of my themes!

A sunglasses case.

Tote bag.

Handmade soap.

Handcrafted notebook.

Cloth pads.

Notecards and envelopes.

Coin purse.

Tie-dyed T shirt (UK size 14/ US size 10).

Buttons - I love buttons, and even have a button tattoo.

Ric-rac - I think this is the cutest craft supply ever!

Any sweets that not available in the UK.

I have lots of train tickets (I get the train most days), if anyone wants some for papercrafting just send me a PM Smiley

Hi Everyone!

I'm Pam. I just turned 43 yesterday (June 16th). I live in the Oregon with my husband and our three dogs. I work as an assistant to a forensic psychologist. I love to garden, love the rodeo and vintage cowboy stuff. I also love the beach and our garden turns into a tiki beach each summer. I really think that I was born in the wrong time period. I love all vintage stuff up until 1960.

I really dislike anything "hippy".  I love baking, cooking, watching old movies. I especially love old horror and scifi movies.

My dogs are Jack Russells and a Min Pin so anything Jack Russell is welcome. They don't wear leashes.  I love Legos and Monster High dolls too.
I have a blog that you can see in my signature and my pinterst really is the best way to see what I like. Everything there is open game.

Favorite colors: Pink, candy and beach colors
Least favorite: earth tones

Long necklaces in this style

chunky necklaces in this style:

Dangle earrings or hoop earrings

Beach stuff for the house and the yard

Misc. stuff:
Summer wreath
Fall wreath
Altered tins
Mason jar and straws: http://pinterest.com/pin/235242780507932173/
Door mat for the front door
Anything with Jack Russells or crows
Lime and mint foot soak: http://pinterest.com/pin/235242780508774711/
garland for my window

I love chocolate, gummies and hard candy
I drink black and herbal tea
I love cupcakes and shortbread
I love vanilla scents for winter and coconut/lime for summer.

Dolls or stuffed animals. (preferably a dog stuffed animal)

Embroidery needles-I am always in need of these
Cupcake supplies (sprinkles, cupcake liners)
Washi tape

Thanks in advance for picking me! Happy Birthday, June babies!

Hello.  My name is Lindsey.  I turned 35 on June 9th.  I am a mother of a very active 9 year old boy and live in Michigan with him and my husband.  I enjoy scrap booking and doing a lot of different crafts - usually using recycled and/or re-purposed craft items from the house.  I find things that are sparkly, shiny, sliver and soft extra special.  I work for the parks and recreation department and am a special event junkie attending lots of one day activities and love learning all about what they have to teach me.

Some of my favorites are...
Holiday - Halloween
Colors - Bright/Deep colors (non neon), Mainly Blues and Greens
T.V. Shows - Cougar Town, Vampire Diaries

Wish List:
Crafty Items  -
Messenger Style Bag/Purse made from recycled juice pouches
Zipper Headphones - http://www.gizmodiva.com/music/index.php?page=7 to fit in my device it must have a regular male end, not a mini USB

This Awesome Knit hat (or simular) - http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/hannah-4
Pop Bottle Cap Wind Chime (simular to this... http://www.flickr.com/photos/pianista9/6031936271/in/[email protected]

Hi.  My name is Charlene.  I am better known as WaggonsWest.  It is a long story but essentially involves many long drives between the Midwest (near St Louis now) and Out West.  I have been crafting and sewing for many years.  I have dabbled in a lot of different media but have recently settled back into sewing in the form of quilts.   I work with an environmental group doing all things river.  The spuds are all almost grown with just the #3 at home.  I love to cook and often buy ingredients so exotic I have to google them to even begin to understand what they are and how they are used.

Favorite things:
Asian food
I dont have a television so I dont have a favorite show
Music is all over the map but more eighties than anything
Some movies that I like that might provide inspiration include League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Alice in Wonderland (new and old)

My pinterest is http://pinterest.com/waggonswest/  (Pretty much, if I pinned it, I like it for some reason.)
I blog at http://twasbrilligand.blogspot.com
My wist is so old, I don't remember what it is is.

Themes:  Bright colors, whimsy, steam punk, Nature

Wish list.

Pretty much anything knitted or crocheted.  I imagine socks are a large but how lovely would that be?

Needle felted animal.  You choose.  I am in awe of those who brave the sharp and spiny.

Whimsical stuffie or doll.  Steam punk would be awesome too.

Altered tin, book, matchbox.  Pick something you love and go with it.

I dont wear much jewelry but a brooch with attitude would be fun.

Pouches or bags are always welcome.

Surprise me.  I love surprises!

Purple fabric   (I cant seem to buy good purples)
Polka dot fabric in bright colors.  Im collecting for a project.
