jexxican I love your interlaced band stitch!

I've been playing with some lattice work, and loving it. I should finish by the end of the month!

Those are some gorgeous hoops! I don't think I'm going to get one made this month. I've been so sick all Winter and had other obligations Sad Definitely planning on jumping back in next month!

This month I wanted to dive into pretty fill stitches, so I learned three kinds of lattice work. I designed this pattern to line up the towns in Virginia and Vermont where my partner and I were born. Still deciding if I want to put a little button or something on the exact spot or leave it less obvious...

Mary Corbet's needle 'n thread website was so helpful! I used lattice with french knots for Vermont, griffin stitch for Virginia, and battlement couching for the overlap. Battlement couching also worked to blend my two color schemes together, which I thought was neat.

I'm considering mounting the finished piece Ludi-style, or maybe sewing a border around it and making a throw pillow? Not sure yet!

That is awesome! At first I thought it was fabric you had cut out. Amazing.

I love the heart hoop!  All those stitches look amazing and inspire me to try something new!

I am blown away by the lattice stitches.  What a beautiful way to fill in blank spaces.

Thanks everyone! Is anyone else going to get in for the month? I'm excited to see!

I think I forgot to say "heck yeah" to that butterfly so yeah, heck yeah! What a great way to use new stitches in a style that still looks like your own.

Acadian, oh holy crap! That is so cool!

Holey Moley Acadian Driftwood, that's one fabulous embroidery! The whole thing looks super intricate and awesome, but that battlement couching blows my mind.
