My idea was to encourage someone who has or is getting braces, expanders, appliances....or to help someone celebrate to is getting their braces off and celebrating that healthy smile. I have a 10 year old daughter with an expander soon to be moving into braces, and i actually just got braces myself. i will be turning 40 this year, so i'm feeling a bit awkward myself.
i haven't found many craft ideas though. i have a 'braces rock' t-shirt from my orthodontist. i was thinking of making a cute case for my daughter to slip into her backpack to hold her toothbrush, and a small mirror. i would also love some ideas on how to encourage her, and snacks that she can eat.

interested in a private atc swap-i am collecting ATC cards to be framed in a collage and auction to raise money for Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma research. (ACCRF) project blog-    atc4acc.blogspot.com

Speaking from my experience with braces, I'm thinking a smoothie bottle with a straw or soft snacks. Oof, those babies are SORE the first weeks!
