My mother's birthday was yesterday and as a gift, my sister and I bought her all new storage bins and reorganized her office/quilting room. We also made this pillow for her to break in the newly cleaned sewing table! I based the pillow off of a couple I had made previously, one seen here https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=387554.msg4585330#msg4585330

We pulled all of the fabrics out of the new scrap bin and it turned out very vibrant and I think pretty fun. My mom loved it! The pillow front is a mini quilt, constructed the same way you would make a normal quilt, the only difference is that before binding, I sewed the quilt front to the quilt back, wrong sides together, and then attached the binding to both layers at once! My pillow is 20x20.

The back includes a hot pink zipper so the pillow cover can be washed.

That is adorable! The mix of fabrics turned out really nice. I love the plaid with the floral.

If I adopt you, would you organize my fabric and make me pretty pillows? Smiley
