We are finally building out a crafts only craft room. Not a corner in the guest room (which has expanded exponentially to cover every available cubic foot of the room), but a full fledged....sigh of joy....craft room!

I'm in the process of painting some unfinished pine board shelves (bought years ago for a "library/computer room" but with laptops and book readers the room became the "box" room....translate as "where we hid everything when we had guests" room.

I need storage boxes and need a variety of sizes. Most the shelves are a narrow 9" as well. The build out is costing more than planned as it always does, so I needed something to organize that fit and did not cost much.

Well, it is Easter and hand made Easter baskets abound, so I adapted several tuts to this wonderful basket. It's the first of many, but now I will be asking for "paper please" at the store.

Here's one of the tut's https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=3032.0#axzz2OYoCyRu0

I love the colours in your basket.  Thanks for sharing the tutorial, I hadn't seen it before.  I did some basket weaving years ago, but I can't get the material here locally to do it any more, this gives me some new ideas.

I saw in one of the tutorials when I Googled to stitch the strips of paper. It gives a really finished look, but is a bit more time consuming. I also used my glue gun frequently to stabilize the pieces, which really helped in the construction as the larger strips tend to slide around. So assemble the base and glue, then bend the strips, weave the first row and glue....continue.
